On Jan. 22, we went to Miami Beach
and I surprised her with a ring! |
|
| We spent the day at the Miami Seaquarium.
The animals and aquariums were amazing! |

 |
A GIANT puffer fish in the
aquarium. Jennifer is a salt water fish hobbyist and really
enjoyed the aquariums. Her puffer is slightly smaller than this
one! |
|
| After the seaquarium, we went across the
Tamiami Trail into the Everglades. We stopped at a native Indian
tour service and went into the swamp on an airboat. Our Indian
guide even let us drive part of the way! |

In the middle of the swamp, there
is an island which was the prev. home to an Indian family. They
moved a few years ago and their thatch buildings and this old dock are
left. This family of raccoons (or "showee" in Indian) would
eat bread from our boat and live among the gators and birds. |
|
| This is Tony, an alligator which was about 6
feet long. He lays right beside the pier where the airboats are
tied. He's the "backyard pet". |
